JOHNSONBURG AREA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Welcome to Johnsonburg Area Elementary School. Learning and fun go hand in hand in our preschool through sixth-grade classrooms. We are a community of caring, dedicated professionals who work together to bring about the academic and personal success of every student in our care.
At JAES, students, parents, and teachers are all on the same team. Weekly communication packets support that team spirit by sharing information about upcoming events and samples of your child’s schoolwork. Watch for your child’s packet on Tuesdays.
A Message From Our Principal
Dear Johnsonburg Area Elementary School Families,
Your child’s report card is included in today’s take home packet. It is important to focus on how well your child has done for the first half of the school year. As you look at your child’s report card, look at the strengths and weaknesses. If you need to seek out more information regarding this, please contact your child’s teacher.
As we move into the second half of the year I ask that you review our school-wide Ram rules with your child and encourage them to follow these rules each day. When all students follow the Ram rules, it creates a more positive learning environment for everyone. Thank you for supporting our school rules!

Act Responsibly
Make Learning Happen
Simply Be Nice
Please make sure your children are coming to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Students should be wearing their hats, gloves, and coats that are zipped up. It is also important that the students are not arriving at the bus stops too early for this will increase the time spent in the cold weather. Make sure that you have a family emergency plan in place for the event of a delayed start, early dismissal, or cancelation. Remember that if school is canceled due to inclement weather, all activities at our school are also canceled.
It is extremely important for the school to be able to reach a parent/guardian with concerns or questions about our students. We ask that parents provide and update all contact information and have a working phone number so we can reach you. This is an increasing problem and can be very upsetting when there is an emergency type situation. Contact my office if you need to update any information.
Sincerely,
Judy Allegretto
