Allegheny National Forest
Along the foothills of the Appalachians, in the northwestern portion of our state, Allegheny National Forest encompasses nearly 517,000 acres of public land and wildlife habitat. A great place for exploring, take your family sightseeing, hiking, camping, bike riding, or canoeing in Allegheny National Forest.

Bendigo State Park
Open year-round, this 100-acre park is the perfect place for a family picnic and fishing trip. The east branch of the Clarion River is stocked with trout and is a fun place to kayak or swim.

Johnsonburg Community Center
Located in a historic building on Market Street, our community center is available to members and nonmembers alike (non members may be charged a small fee to participate in sponsored activities). Enjoy our indoor pool and fitness rooms, gym, walking track, and meeting rooms as well as scheduled activities for seniors and children and our annual summer day camp program. We really do have something for everyone!

Moshannon State Forest
Moshannon State Forest or “moose stream” is a beautiful state forest on the Allegheny Plateau. Offering camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and mountain biking, Moshannon is another great choice for a family outing.
